Usual lenght of contract - written in polish - is 12 months, which includes 1 or two months deposit, and usually agency fee. Additionally both private persons or agencies renting flats are trying to hide additional costs (electric heating in winter, renovation fund, etc.) and disadvantages of flats (thin walls, insects, molds, etc.).
